It's already been a weird month. It's always strange coming out of the holidays, but things are especially tough this time primarily due to the pandemic and the limitations and hardships it provides. I didn't set a new year's resolution for myself this year, partly because no one can plan anything or knows what to expect, but also because it's been a hard and sad and scary year and I think we all just need to support ourselves and each other as best we can. I do want to try to reach out to friends and family more, but I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself.
I've included some very simple things below that I plan to use to help me feel good this January. I plan to savor warm and cozy things like hot tea, slippers, socks, sweaters, and blankets, light candles at the end of each day, take our regular long walks even if it's really cold, watch classic movies, listen to good music, and eat as many fruit and veggies as I can to add more color and brightness into the day.
